Council Member Ted Jerred was appointed to the City Council to represent Ward 3 in 2011. He was elected to a full term in 2012.
I moved to Gillette 49 years ago from South Dakota, starting school at Central School in the downtown Gillette area where City Hall is now. After graduation from Campbell County High School, I worked in the oil field for a short time. Joining my parents in the real estate business in 1977, I became the youngest real estate sales person in the state of Wyoming at age 19, youngest real estate broker at the age of 21 and became a state certified residential real estate appraiser in 1991.
I have been married 35 years to my wife, Tracy and we have one son, Derrek, 24. I am a member of the National Association of Realtors, Campbell County Board of Realtors and Employee Relocation Council and a graduate of the Real Estate Institute I, II, and III. We attend High Plains Community Church and I enjoy community volunteer projects my wife ropes me into, especially for the Campbell County Public Library.
