HOURS OF OPERATION: MON-FRI  7:00 AM-4:00 PM

The Utilities Department includes these divisions:

Utilities Administration 
Provides administrative, technical, and supervisory direction for department operations & capital projects development & coordination.

Wastewater 
Collects and treats the sewage produced by the citizens and businesses of Gillette.

Water 
Produces and distributes potable water to the citizens and businesses of Gillette.

Electrical Engineering 
Provides support for capital improvement design, conceptual layout & design, electrical infrastructure mapping, inspection of infrastructure, street light program, and system planning, as well as internal support to other City divisions.

Electrical Services 
Maintains the City’s electric distribution lines, operates & maintains electrical substations, installs & maintains street lights, holiday decorations, and line extensions.

Electrical Services Capital Contribution Fee [PDF] - fees paid for new or expanded construction.

Road Closure Updates - 5/26/15
The City of Gillette Engineering Division and Utilities Department announce lane closures on Gillette Avenue and Boxelder Road and the following road closures: the alley between Jack Plane Lane and LA Lane from Hogeye Drive to Flying Circle Drive, Maple Avenue, the alley between Brooks Avenue and Miller Avenue from 6th Street to 7th Street, the alley between Highway 59 and Miller Avenue between from 5th Street to 7th Street, Stanley Avenue, 9th Street, Green Avenue and the alleys between 5th and 6th Street & 6th Street and 7th Street from Green Avenue to Gurley Avenue.
Water Main Flushing Program Begins
The City of Gillette Water Division has started the annual Water Main Flushing Program. This program is conducted to improve water quality and flow rates. You may experience decreased water pressure and discoloration of the water.
City of Gillette Yard Waste Facility Now Open
The City of Gillette's Utilities Department is opening the Yard Waste Drop-Off site on Saturday, March 21st at 8 A.M. The recent warm weather has resulted in a large number of citizen requests to drop off their yard waste at the facility sooner than anticipated.
