Overview

The Engineering Division is responsible for:

  • Developing the infrastructure master plans to identify Gillette’s future needs. 
  • Reviewing and permitting all infrastructure improvements within the city limits. 
  • Developing & maintaining regulatory manuals, design standards, and construction specifications 
  • Planning, designing, and constructing capital construction projects. 
  • Evaluate and maintain Gillette's traffic/transportation system 
  • Preparing information for grant applications. 
  • Acting as the flood plain manager for the City of Gillette.

City of Gillette's Spring Clean Up Is Complete
The City of Gillette's Spring Clean Up is now over. All yard waste must be placed in yard waste rollouts or brought to the Yard Waste Drop-off site.
Road Construction Updates
The City of Gillette's Development Services and Utilities Departments announce the following construction updates for: Gillette Avenue, 4J Road, Carey Avenue, and Richards Avenue.
Gillette Avenue/1st Street Intersection Closed Beginning Wednesday, April 16, 2014
The City of Gillette's Development Services Department announces that the Gillette Avenue/1st Street intersection, and Gillette Avenue north of 1st Street, will be closed from Wednesday, April 16th through May 31st. This closure is for work on the Gillette Avenue Improvements project.
City of Gillette's Yard Waste Curbside Collection Program begins Monday
The City of Gillette's Yard Waste Curbside Collection Program begins Monday, April 14th and will run through Friday, November 14th. The cost of the program is $9.60/month per rollout.
Spring Cleanup Information
The City of Gillette's Streets Division will begin its annual spring cleanup program on Monday, April 14th. This is a chance for the public to begin spring cleaning and have the City of Gillette pick up certain types of trash and debris.
