Overview

The Engineering Division is responsible for:

  • Developing the infrastructure master plans to identify Gillette’s future needs. 
  • Reviewing and permitting all infrastructure improvements within the city limits. 
  • Developing & maintaining regulatory manuals, design standards, and construction specifications 
  • Planning, designing, and constructing capital construction projects. 
  • Evaluate and maintain Gillette's traffic/transportation system 
  • Preparing information for grant applications. 
  • Acting as the flood plain manager for the City of Gillette.

Engineering performs a variety of other miscellaneous services as well. These services include:

Road Construction Updates
The City of Gillette's Utilities and Development Services Departments announce road construction and road closure updates for Gillette Avenue, Harder Drive, and 9th Street.
City Offices Closed on Monday, September 1st in observance of Labor Day
City offices will be closed on Monday, September 1st in observance of the Labor Day Holiday. There will be no trash, recycling, and yard waste collection on Monday, September 1st.
The City of Gillette hosts its City Auction at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 28th at 808 W. Warlow Drive. This is a cash auction and all items are sold as is.
