WE'VE MOVED!

The Animal Shelter has moved to a temporary shelter until at least February.  The temporary shelter is located right across the parking lot from the Animal Shelter.  The address is still 950 W Warlow Drive and the phone number is still 307-686-5249.

There will be a couple of changes that we want to let everyone know about:

  1. The shelter will no longer take unwanted animals without an appointment.  Please call the shelter before bringing any pets you own to the shelter.  Call us first and we will explain the process of helping you to find a new home for your pet.  Please do not bring your pets to the shelter as we can no longer take them without first making an appointment.
  2. Stray animals can be brought to the shelter during regular business hours or if you need assistance after hours call the Gillette Police Department at 307-682.5155.

The Animal Control Division is composed of one Animal Control Supervisor, three Animal Control Officers, and two Animal Shelter Assistants. The Animal Control Division provides enforcement of the City's ordinances on animal control. They work to balance health, safety, and welfare needs of people and animals. The Animal Shelter is a City owned and operated facility. It provides housing and other shelter services for Gillette and Campbell County.
We no longer accept personal checks.

FOSTER A FURRY FRIEND FOR FALL
The Animal Shelter will be moving into a smaller, temporary facility while the main building is remodeled. We won't have as much space for adoptable pets, so we are looking for people to help foster shelter pets during the remodel. Please contact the Shelter at (307) 686-5249.
