Lateral Sign-On Bonus for Police Officers A. Certified Police Officers from external law enforcement agencies who meet the following criteria are eligible for a sign-on bonus: 1) The officer must be currently employed as a law enforcement agency. 2) Recognized as a certified peace officer by the Wyoming Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission. (POST) 3) The sign-on bonus will be determined based on the size of the officer’s previous agency. Generally: a) Officers from agencies with 20 or more certified officers: $13,000.00. b) Officers from agencies with 19 or fewer certified officers: $10,500.00.

The Police Department provides fingerprinting services Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. There is a $5.00 fee and the person being fingerprinted must provide a government issued ID.
